Abstract:
Muon g-2 is one of the most precisely measured quantities in particle
physics. The ongoing experimental efforts at Fermilab, J-PARC, CERN, and
PSI necessitate a comparable improvement of the precision in the
Standard Model theoretical prediction in order to fully exploit this
testing ground for new physics. In this talk, I will discuss a path
forward for a precise determination of the leading hadronic contribution
to the muon g-2, which relies on lattice gauge theory formulation of
quantum chromodynamics and quantum electrodynamics.
