Abstract:
In February 2020, an ESA space mission was launched from Cape Canaveral.
The mission has 10 instruments onboard that probe the solar wind as it
flows past the spacecraft, and images the Sun in different wavelengths.
The space mission has an elliptical orbit, that uses planetary fly-bys
to get close to the Sun (~0.3 A.U.) and slowly move out of the ecliptic
plane to allow the first ever view of the solar poles. The mission
starts its first science phase at the end of this year. I will discuss
the science goals of the mission, why they are important and the first
data and results.
