Abstract:
The LHCb detector at the LHC specialises in studying decays of heavy
hadrons, with excellent tracking, secondary vertex reconstruction and
particle identification capabilities. A selection of recent results from
the broad physics programme at LHCb is presented and discussed here,
including the latest precision tests on semi-leptonic B decays. The
detector has undergone a major upgrade, the extent and physics potential
of which will be discussed.
