Abstract:
The Mainz Energy-recovery Superconducting Accelerator (MESA) is
currently under construction at the institute of nuclear physics in
Mainz. The talk will discuss the MESA physics programme, starting with
parity violating electron scattering for the determination of the weak
mixing angle. Other parity violation measurements as well as the physics
programme of the MAGIX spectrometer setup and the DarkMESA dark matter
search will also be discussed.
